Cisco 2600 was deployed at the parent site while Cisco 1005 (LAN extender) was configured for the child sites. Broadcasts across the LANs were restricted to relieve the channel from congestion. 0.8Mb of the total capacity was used for voice signals while the rest 1.2Mb carried Data. The setup was such that users on the child sites have their MS-Exchange mailboxes on the parent site. An AS400 server was also located on one of the child sites to feed clients on the WAN. The entire network existed on a single NT-domain such that resources located on remote LAN were readily available to users on the WAN.
